What's on at Linne Bheag? Read on...

As many of you will know, we have been having our house extended, adding a new room and a few wee corners suitable for quiet thought and pondering.  The builders are hoping to be finished by the end of September.  In faith and hope, we are presenting  our autumn programme..........

We plan to re-start in October and would welcome your bookings and enquiries.  In the meantime, our spiritual direction and mentoring work go on, regardless of builders, although sometimes we move out to a local tearoom or hotel in order to find quiet space!

   Programme for the autumn 2010

Saturday 11th December:         A look at Advent from the sofa.

DAY CONFERENCES:

Thursday 21st October:           ’Future Focus’ – a way forward for congregations.

A day event is from 10am – 4pm.  The cost is £40 per person and includes all teaching times and materials, lunch and coffee on tap.  Email for a booking form or to clarify anything.

EVENINGS:    ‘Prayer as a way of life.’

We have planned a course of nine evenings, teaching and practising nine different ways of prayer.  Each evening can stand alone.  Or you may book in for a group of three evenings.  Or you may want to live dangerously and book in for all nine!  This will be an informal evening with worship at the beginning and plenty space and time for thinking, process or chats with others.  There will be no pressure to actively take part.  It is an evening just for your own benefit.

Thursday 28th October:            As Jesus taught us.  Praying with the Lord’s Prayer.

Thursday 11th November:        A look at Ignatian prayer.

Thursday 25th November:        Using the imagination in prayer.

The other evenings of the course will follow in the Spring.  The themes are as follows;

Looking back to see ahead.        The practice of centring prayer.           Lectio Divina.

Praying the Psalms.             Celtic prayer.             Praying with images and icons.

£9 for one evening or £25 or all three.

Courses and retreat days will be led by Dorothy and/or  Peter.  They are also available individually or together to meet with you for spiritual direction, mentoring or supportive listening.  Email or phone to make an appointment.
